Xavier Azalbert is a 56-year-old entrepreneur, mathematician and economist. In 2014, he became the director of publication of FranceSoir, a French news website that encourages debate and freedom of expression, one of the only media that does its real job.
FranceSoir is an independent, unfunded online newspaper, a “citizen’s collective” made up of several hundred people from all over the world who regularly contribute articles and opinion pieces. It receives an average of 3 million visitors per month, and more than 5 million some months.
“Our contributors are readers, experts in their field, scientists, lawyers and journalists. There are about twenty people, with more occasional contributors, abroad or in specific fields”.
Xavier Azalbert has interviewed countless specialists around the world, and thanks to its collaborative model, the newspaper has produced some fabulous dossiers during this crisis.
In addition to the usual ‘Debriefings’, he has developed a new programme ‘The Truth Challenge’ which invites leading scientists, doctors and lawyers to shed light on and answer questions about treatments, masks, the merits of lockdowns, PCR testing and the government’s handling of the crisis.
There is now an orchestrated attack on France-Soir, which is accused of being one of the biggest conspiracy websites. Yet it is the only media in France to have interviewed world-renowned specialists and not to have let a few unknown doctors squat on its platforms as the mainstream media do.
