The executive branch, through its president, has been relying on the CVO (Covid Organics) for more than a year to fight the covid pandemic. Are the results obtained in Madagascar the result of this drink? The World Health Organization has decided to review the studies presented by Malagasy scientists.
Three treatments to be tested
On July 5, 2021, the World Health Organization confirmed that it had decided to review the scientific data on Covid organics submitted by Malagasy epidemiologists and hospitals. If the drink is questionable, WHO scientists are particularly interested in the drug called CVO-curative.
The experts do not give a blank check: “The clinical trial in Madagascar provides data that the expert committee will review very soon. It will provide an independent scientific opinion on the results, in line with clinical trial standards and procedures, and advise the Malagasy government on the next steps in preparing the clinical trial,” Midi-Madagasikara said.
A month after this initial declaration, WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced that three treatments containing Artemisia (the base plant of the CVO) will now be tested. These drugs contain: “Artesunate, a semi-synthetic derivative of the artemisinin group, itself an active ingredient isolated from the plant Artemisia annua,” according to the Beninese daily La Nouvelle-Tribune.
This information sounds like revenge for the president of the Republic of Madagascar. A year ago, Tambavy Covid-Organics was considered a : “a diplomatic or even political solution.” Andry Rajoelina was the target of all the criticisms, without any examination of the results. A year later, Madagascar seems to have absorbed the pandemic shock in a way that is surprising to observers. Did the covid organics or the cure play a role? The question deserves to be asked….
