The founder of Dubai, Shah Roitid, was asked about the future of his country
My grandfather rode a camel, my father rode a camel, I rode a Mercedes.
My son drives a Land Rover, my grandson drives a Land Rover.
And my great-grandson will ride a camel.
Why is that?
In difficult times, strong people emerge.
Strong people create good times. Good times breed weak people.
Weak people create hard times.
Many will not understand, but we must raise warriors, not parasites.
Is that a law of nature?
It is the opposites that create an up and down. That is where perception begins.
If you want to destroy the bad in life, the good will also go away at the same time. This is true for all dualities. Without opposites there is no life. Whoever can understand this is a warrior and not a victim.
Shah explains it beautifully here in a metaphor.
Before a rich man enters the kingdom of heaven, he must go through the eye of a needle.
This gives a new perspective on the apparent phenomena.
Good times are bad and bad times are good. Or vice versa. But always all at the same time.
