Does Fauci Now Want Mandatory Vaccinations for All Air Travel?

If Dr. Anthony Fauci wasn’t a household name before 2020 – or at least since the 1980s – he certainly has become one since then. Fauci is head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and chief medical advisor to the president.

Vaccinations to become a requirement for Flights

Just two days after Christmas 2021, Fauci suggested in an interview with MSNBC that vaccinations could become a requirement for flights within the United States. He advocates this despite continued reports of breakthrough infections, recommendations to wear masks regardless of how many vaccinations one has received, and an overwhelming number of people who have experienced adverse effects, including death.

Much of Fauci’s power lies in his ability to fund, arm, pay, maintain, and effectively deploy a large and sprawling army of aides, no matter what demands, mandates, and other encroachments on your personal liberty he can think of. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) alone has an annual budget of $37 billion, spread across more than 50,000 grants that support over 300,000 medical research positions worldwide.

In his latest book, published Nov. 16, 2021, The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma, and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health, Robert F. Kennedy Jr, environmental activist and attorney, has exposed and documented many of Fauci’s demonstrably illegal practices that have put the health and welfare of U.S. citizens at risk.

The book traces Fauci’s career, which he began during the AIDS crisis, partnering with pharmaceutical companies. At that time, they developed and executed a plan that was repeated during the COVID-19 pandemic – namely, to sabotage all safe and effective known treatments to benefit Big Pharma.

Fauci’s power and political influence greatly influence FDA and CDC recommendations and, by extension, health care providers who do not read independent research to form their own opinions, or do not want to. Steve Kirsch recently published remarks by his friend Dr. Harvey Cohen, pediatric hematologist and oncologist at Stanford Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, that are indicative of the current state of affairs in health care.

When Kirsch asked Cohen to comment or remain silent on the safety and efficacy of the vaccine, Cohen responded by discrediting those who do speak out, “Hospitals are full of unvaccinated COVID patients. Why don’t you speak out to get people vaccinated so we have fewer hospitalizations and fewer deaths?” Later, Cohen ended the conversation, writing:

We are in alternative worlds. There is no conspiracy about vaccines, just attempts to control the severity of the pandemic. Sorry, I can’t handle your misinformation. Please don’t write me any more about it. I am relying on the CDC and FDA to give me the information I need to take care of patients.

Fauci’s Proposal for Mandatory Vaccination on Flights Does Not Help Safety

In his interview with MSNBC, Fauci disclosed that discussions are underway to reduce the number of days that individuals exposed to COVID-19 must spend in quarantine. In the interview, he said:

One of the things we need to be mindful of is that so many people who are exposed, but not necessarily infected, generally need to be out of action for 10 days. If they have an important job, we want to get them back to work before the 10 days are up. And that is what the CDC is discussing very seriously right now.

In other words: If you’ve been vaccinated or not, if you’ve been exposed to the virus but you don’t have symptoms by the fifth day, the CDC is considering shortening the quarantine period. Within hours, the CDC announced this, and Fauci appeared on CNN to explain why the quarantine period was shortened. When asked why the quarantine period is now being shortened, Fauci replied:

With the sheer volume of new cases we have that we expect to continue at Omikron, one of the things we want to be careful about is not having so many people out. If you’re asymptomatic, we want people to be able to get back to work, especially those who have important jobs to keep our society running smoothly.

In other words, the decision to shorten the quarantine period appears to be based solely on having enough people available to the country to provide essential services. In the same interview, Fauci said that while he supported a vaccination mandate for flying, he would not say whether he would personally ask the President for such a mandate:

I’m not going to tell you that for the simple reason that I don’t want to say publicly what I’m recommending to the President, because if the President doesn’t do it, I don’t want it to look like the President is taking action against it. The president takes all recommendations and discussions, and then as a group we decide what is best to do….

When it comes to having to board a plane domestically, that is just another requirement that can be considered. I think that is what we are talking about here. If you mandate vaccination, that is another incentive to get people vaccinated. If you’re going to do that for domestic flights, I think that’s something that should be seriously considered.

Fauci’s interview raises more questions than it answers. Why shorten the quarantine period after nearly two years of the “emergency”? Could it be that there are too many key workers refusing the vaccine and that a 10-day quarantine would cripple the country?

More importantly, Fauci gave no safety reason for mandating vaccination on domestic flights. Instead, he argued that mandatory vaccination would be “another incentive to get people vaccinated.” It looks like he’s taking a page from Nike’s famous advertising slogan as he moves from safety to “just do it.”

Airlines support Masks for Financial Reasons, Not Scientific Reasons

Although CNBC reports that “there is currently no indication that mandatory vaccination for U.S. flights is imminent,” Fauci has consistently made suggestions over the past 18 months that have been implemented.

He also clearly signaled that masks will remain for the foreseeable future when he said removing masks on planes is “not something we should even consider.”

In December 2021, the CEOs of American Airlines, Delta Airlines, United Airlines, and Southwest Airlines testified at a Senate hearing that air quality on planes is controlled by electrostatically sprayed, high-grade disinfectants and HEPA air filters that remove up to 99.99% of airborne particles. They concurred with the Southwest Airlines manager’s testimony:

I think there’s a lot to be said for masks not further polluting the air in the cabin, if at all. It’s very safe and very high quality compared to other interiors.

The United Airlines CEO pointed to the partnership with the Cleveland Clinic and the testing the Department of Defense had done on United Airlines planes, concluding that the air quality was safer than many other interiors because of the filtration. Sara Nelson, president of the Association of Flight Attendants, disagreed in a piece that Forbes magazine called a “quick and thorough fact check.”

She pointed out that the mannequins used in the study cited by United Airlines’ CEO did not move or eat, alluding to the fact that the masks do not provide an effective seal. She also pointed out that the older planes did not have the HEPA filtration – and that was the end of her quick and thorough fact check.

After the Senate hearing, the CEOs of Delta and American Airlines retracted their testimony. CNN Business reports that Nelson said the reason airline tickets are sold today almost as they were before the pandemic is that the mask mandate has led to greater confidence among passengers.

Kerry Tan, professor of economics at Loyola University Maryland, agrees with Nelson. “I can’t say whether the masks help scientifically, but I think the mask mandate makes it easier to book leisure travel. I feel like it generally puts passengers at ease,” he told CNN Business.

If you read the studies, they don’t support the use of masks. If you look for data on wearing masks as a strategy to reduce the risk of infection, you’ll find the following, among others:

  • Surgical masks and N95 masks perform almost the same.
  • Cloth masks perform far worse, according to a 2015 study on healthcare workers and flu-like illness. Researchers warned against fabric masks for workplace health and safety reasons.
  • A study published by the CDC on non-pharmacological personal protective equipment to reduce the spread of influenza found “no significant reduction in influenza transmission with the use of face masks” in a community setting.
  • According to the CDC, 71% of patients who tested positive for COVID-19 reported “always” wearing a fabric mask or face covering in the 14 days before they became ill.
  • A WHO guidance document states, “Currently, there is limited and conflicting scientific evidence on the effectiveness of wearing face masks in healthy people in the community to prevent respiratory virus infections, including SARS-CoV-2.”

Airlines’ Mask Rules Lead to Disruptive and Violent Passengers

In other words, instead of addressing the scientific evidence that does not support the use of masks to contain the spread of SARS-CoV-2, or educating airline customers about the scientific evidence, several CEOs, Nelson and the Loyola economics professor have decided that it is easier and more financially beneficial to mandate masks and go with the flow. However, recent reports of disruptive and violent passengers do not match their hopes.

In June 2021, the Washington Post reported an “unprecedented rise in disruptive passengers” on flights and warned that “experts say it could get worse.” The article reported how a Southwest passenger knocked out a flight attendant’s teeth and a man was arrested after banging on the cockpit door of a Delta flight.

Speaking to the Washington Post, Nelson said, “There’s conflict on board all the time. I think there’s a risk that it’s going to get worse. Since Jan. 1, 2021, the Federal Aviation Administration has received 2,900 reports of unruly passengers, 2,200 of which related to the mask requirement.

Most recently, a two-minute video was posted on Twitter showing an unmasked woman in the aisle yelling at a seated unmasked man who was eating. She had to be restrained and taken to the back of the plane after she attacked and spit on him for not wearing a mask.

Fauci Warns Coronavirus Cold May Run rampant This Winter

According to Kennedy, “Fauci uses the financial power at his disposal to exert extraordinary influence over hospitals, universities, professional journals, and thousands of influential physicians and scientists – whose careers and institutions he can ruin, promote, or reward.”

Earlier this year, Fauci received a $1 million award from Israel for “speaking truth to power” as “the consummate role model for leadership and influence in public health.” This is a far cry from the documented evidence contained in Kennedy’s book, in Fauci’s emails released under the Freedom of Information Act, or in documents presented before the Senate.

It is important to remember that coronaviruses were first identified in the mid-1960s and are among the viruses responsible for colds. The latest mutation of SARS-CoV-2 is called omicron, and so far, while 73% of new cases in the U.S. have been attributed to this variant, only one man with a prior illness has died.

Perhaps that’s because the symptoms of omicron are almost identical to those of a cold, with cough, fatigue, congestion and a runny nose being the main symptoms. Still, Fauci continues his scaremongering, warning that omicron “will be rampant this winter” and that Americans should brace for “a tough few weeks to months.”

This is the New War

There is no doubt that we are in a sophisticated war and that anyone capable of rational thought and with an inkling of a desire for freedom is the declared enemy. Easily provable lies are being spread everywhere by officials, but the mainstream media is adopting them and a large number of people are swallowing the information without thinking twice.

It is not difficult to imagine a future in which the population is so grossly misinformed that there is no one left who would even consider questioning the story presented to them. As Mattias Desmet, professor of clinical psychology at Ghent University in Belgium, explains, totalitarianism is different from dictatorships.

Because totalitarian regimes commit their worst atrocities once dissenting voices have been silenced, many planned atrocities can be kept at bay by keeping up the pressure and voicing dissenting opinions. By raising our voices and joining together in the fight for freedom, we also offer a better alternative to those who would otherwise simply join the program out of fear of exclusion.

“In my opinion, stopping talking is not an option,” says Desmet. “This is the most important thing we can do. We also need to create parallel structures – companies, organizations, technologies, movements and creative activities that fit into a totalitarian society while being morally outside of it. Once enough parallel structures are created, a parallel culture will emerge that acts as a haven of reason within the totalitarian world.

According to Desmet, totalitarianism will always end up self-destructing. The psychological foundations are so self-destructive that the system ends up killing its own members. That is the good news. The bad news is that a totalitarian system can survive for a long time before collapsing, and there are usually few survivors in the end.

However, Desmet believes that this new global totalitarianism is more unstable than regional dictator-led totalitarian systems, so it can self-destruct more quickly. The key is to survive outside the totalitarian system while patiently resisting it and waiting for it to self-destruct.
