The synthesis of a series of peer-reviewed research studies indicates that chemical compounds like phthalates influence genital malformation, decreased fertility rates, and loss of masculinity in young men. Phthalates are found in disposable face masks and plastics.

Dr. Shanna Swan Interview

These findings point to “how our modern world is threatening sperm counts, altering male and female reproductive development, and imperiling the future of the human race,” warned Dr. Shanna Swan, according to Sky News on March 24. Read here.

She added: “Exposure to the chemicals can cause a wide range of male reproductive harm, including undescended testicles, congenital disabilities, and infertility later in life,” according to National File. Read here

On the other hand, a study published in 2017 found that sperm levels among Western men had declined by more than half in 40 years, after analyzing 185 investigations done on 45,000 healthy men.

Dr. Swan believes that by 2045 most men will be unable to produce sperm.

About Phthalates

Phthalates are used in the manufacture of plastics and affect the hormone-producing endocrine system.

According to scientists, they act by mimicking the hormone estrogen and alter natural hormone production, which is linked to interference in the sexual development of infants and changes in adult behavior.

On the other hand, it is complicated to avoid phthalates because so many everyday products often contain this harmful substance, as described by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

“Phthalates are a group of chemicals used in hundreds of products, such as toys, vinyl flooring and wall covering, detergents, lubricating oils, food packaging, pharmaceuticals, blood bags and tubing,” the FDA reports. Read here.

And the list continues with “personal care products, such as nail polish, hair sprays, aftershave lotions, soaps, shampoos, perfumes, and other fragrance preparations.”

Covid Face Masks

Similarly, another study presented at the National Center for Biotechnology Information, which is part of the National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health, found that microplastics used in the manufacture of Covid [PCCh virus] face masks contain several toxic chemicals, including penis-shrinking phthalates, according to National File.
